Alex Westberry, CFP®, RMA®

Alex Westberry is the owner and CEO of Resonance Wealth Management in Sandy Springs, Georgia. He is an established financial advisor with more than 15 years of experience. Alex’s clientele includes individuals at varying life stages – all seeking a strong client-advisor connection and the guidance of a competent, trusted advisor.

In 2005, Alex completed his bachelor’s degree in music education at the University of Georgia. Transferring his teaching skills to the field of wealth management, he joined Waddell & Reed Financial Inc. in 2007. He remained with the company until its 2021 acquisition by LPL Financial LLC, recognized as the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer (as reported by Financial Planning magazine, 1996-2023, based on total revenue.)

Alex achieved the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2019, widely perceived as the industry’s standard of excellence. He is also a Retirement Management Advisor® designee, possessing the knowledge and skills for effective retirement planning. He holds the following FINRA licenses: Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) – all held with LPL Financial. Alex is also licensed in life and health insurance by the State of Georgia, enabling him to offer variable annuity and variable life insurance policy products.

Alex serves in the U.S. Army Reserve, embodying a commitment to both his professional and civic responsibilities. Earlier in his military career, he deployed overseas to Afghanistan and Kuwait as an officer in the Georgia Army National Guard.

Outside of work, Alex is a skilled musician who is deeply passionate about every facet of the art. He and his wife, Kim, enjoy good food, fine wine, and great company. To offset their culinary adventures, they engage in outdoor activities, often accompanied by their German Shepherd, Nika. Both are active members of Christ Covenant Church in Atlanta. During football season, Alex enjoys cheering for his alma mater, the Georgia Bulldogs.
